My most ambitious fan fiction project to date, Æsirhættir was conceived as a five-part epic. While most of the parts come in at somewhat shorter than those in the Home Trilogy (with the glaring exception of The World Serpent) such that the total is only a little longer, the five chapters of Æsirhættir were written as components of a longer plot, where the earlier fics just grew organically from each other.

Æsirhættir makes several references to Chooser of the Slain, especially in The World Serpent and Ragnarok.

Æsirhættir means 'God Killer', and is lifted shamelessly from The Subtle Knife, by Philip Pullman, because it's appropriate, and because it's such a cool word.
